The park system surrounding Lake Vasona in Los Gatos, CA is kind of our home-town park, so we spend a lot of time there one way or the other. We walk it to get photos for painting, and our folk music group The South Bay Folks meets there for concerts and picnics. So this series is just about appreciating our beautiful world and our music friends.
The wide range of color palettes is where I usually spend most of my time and the same here. I started with “Happy Little Trees”, which is the most fanciful and furthest from reality, followed by “The Lake at Vasona in Bb” because it so obviously is in Bb:) and then I iterated around on the brights and hues between the paintings and the iPad so much these are really kind of both oil paintings and an electronic paintings. So whatever THAT is, that is what happened here with these pieces.
I am very proud of these pieces, and they look great printed large on metal, but you can also get some great merchandise because the colors are pretty fun!
